HURLEY -- Part-time Iron County Sheriff's Department deputy and emergency government director Tom Schellinger will begin a full-time position as dispatcher-jailer after today, as current dispatcher-jailer David Morello retires.
Schellinger was recently hired to the full-time position by the law enforcement committee.
Four of the 11 who applied for the position were interviewed. They were Schellinger, Larry Koivisto, who is a part-time deputy, David Mullen and Jeff Minton.
Koivisto and Mullen have now been placed on the eligibility list, said county clerk Mike Saari.
