D. Mildred Pekrul

WAKEFIELD, Mich. -- D. Mildred Pekrul, 92, of Wakefield, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010.

 

She was born in Alanson on Jan. 9, 1918, the daughter of Edward and Daisy (Reed) Forbes.

 

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Pekrul; son, Douglas Pekrul; brothers, Arthur and Leslie; and sisters, Beatrice and Pearle.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Marlene (Ron) Cradit of Bessemer; grandchildren, Paul and Kyle Cradit; and in-laws, Pat Forbes, Bertha Patton, Olga Sauve and Edward Pekrul.

 

The family would like to thank the Gogebic Medical Care Facility for their wonderful care.

 

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2010, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, 2121 N. Cedar St., Holt, with the Rev. Paul J. Lindloff officiating.

 

Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to support Mildred's grandsons' fire departments.
