    IRONWOOD — The 46th Parallel Planters are preparing for the spring planting, according to Marlene Zaleski, president of the club. Zaleski said the club recently held a presentation on how to get an early start to the growing season with starting seedlings indoors, and maintaining gardening equipment.     HURLEY - The Hurley K-12 School students celebrated Festival de Navidad on Wednesday, Dec. 20, the last day of school before the holiday break.     IRONWOOD - The Ironwood Memorial Building's auditorium acted as a competition hall for the Poetry Out Loud competition on Monday morning, with five students from area schools aiming to earn their place in the coming state competition.     IRONWOOD — The Gogebic Community College board of trustees accepted a letter of resignation from president George McNulty at their regular meeting on Wednesday, March 22.     The 2023 Superior Snowshoe Walks season has a few more walks to go. Organizer Sam Davey said the season has gone really well, with warmer weather allowing for people to dress in fewer layers.     IRONWOOD — The Gogebic-Iron County Airport Board held its monthly meeting on Monday, with board members discussing their annual reorganization, the purchase of a vehicle and ongoing plans for future projects.
