HURLEY, Wis. - Dorothy H. Peite, 96, of Hurley and formerly of Ironwood, Mich., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019. Dorothy was born Aug. 4, 1922, in Montreal, daughter of Peter and Anna (Homieleska) Gulan. She was a 1940 graduate of J.E. Murphy High School in Hurley. After graduation, she was a machinist at Allis-Chalmers in Milwaukee, making a specific part for the "heart of the B52s" during WWII.
