Technically, her new role started on Jan. 2, but that day was a city holiday in relation to New Year’s Day having fallen on Sunday. Families, couples and individuals also enjoyed snacks provided by the organizers. The annual fundraiser for the trails helps the group with ongoing maintenance and other projects, according to Tom Kangas, vice president of the Friends of the MMHP. IRON BELT, Wis. - William J. Mattson, 75, of Iron Belt, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at his home. William was born on April 8, 1947, in Iron Belt, the Son of Eino and Dolores (Baross) Mattson.
