    IRONWOOD — The Sisu Ski Fest races today were shortened and set for later in the day because of the bitter cold. Sisu Ski Fest board president Ric Olson said Friday, “The race jury has decided that the 42-kilometer is delayed and shortened to 31K, with a 90-minute delay on all starts.” The 21K Heikki Lunta Half Marathon was shortened to 17K, with a 30-minute delay on all starts, Olson said.   • At least 1 dead in 123-vehicle pileup on Michigan interstate

    GALESBURG (AP) - More than 100 vehicles were involved in pileups on a snowy Michigan interstate on Friday, killing a trucker and igniting a fire and explosion on a semi carrying fireworks, police said. Snow, wind and poor visibility were blamed for the chain reaction of crashes on both sides of Interstate 94 in Kalamazoo County, 150 miles east of Chicago.     CADILLAC, Mich. - Hermine L. Rouker, 95, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at Sunnyside Senior Living in Cadillac. She was born April 24, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio, to William H. and Clara (Adams) Kramer. She married Samuel Chovan on Aug. 5, 1939. They moved to Bessemer, Mich., in 1952. Sam was killed in a mining accident on Sept. 9, 1958. Hermine married Joseph Rouker on May 22, 1965, and Joe preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 1984. Bud was born Dec. 7, 1930, in Cambridge, Ohio, son of the late Clyde and Audrie (Williams) Nicholson, and attended Mooseheart School in North Aurora, Ill.
