    HURLEY - The Hurley School District received grant funding from Exxon Mobil, Tuesday. According to Ray Kallas, of Ray's Mobil in Hurley, each Mobil station across the country is given an application from Exxon's Education Alliance to nominate its local school for the grant funding. Each selected school receives funding towards math and science programs. (AP) - A snow-covered Earth and the morning sun rising over the Grandville horizon are among thousands of snapshots captured by a school robotics team balloon that soared to record-setting heights recently. (AP) - A 12-year-old New Mexico boy drew a shotgun from a band-instrument case and shot and wounded two classmates at his middle school Tuesday morning before a teacher talked him into dropping the weapon and he was taken into custody, officials and witnesses said.
