    PHOENIX, Ariz. - Michael John "Mick" Obrodovich passed away at St. Joe's Hospital in Phoenix on Jan. 9, 2017. He was born March 14, 1941, in Hurley, Wis., to Mike and Rose Obrodovich. Obrodovich graduated from Eagle River Union High School in 1959. He received his bachelor's degree in education at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and his master's degree in administration at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Cole Ruotsala, son of Aaron and Moireen Ruotsala, of Ironwood, died of cancer before he was able to attend school and the couple formed the foundation in his honor.     HURLEY, Wis. - Larry Baldovin, 64, of Hurley, Wisconsin, succumbed to lung cancer at his home surrounded by family on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017. Larry was born on Sept. 30, 1952, in Ironwood, Michigan, to Laurence "Enci" and Ruth Baldovin. He graduated from J.E. Murphy High School in 1971 and Superior Technical Institute in 1972.     John William Ekdahl, 94, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017. John was born on May 23, 1922, in Baraga, Mich., to the late Henry and Anna Ekdahl.
