    By RICHARD JENKINS [email protected] IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP - Snowshoers took over the trails at Wolverine Ski Trails Saturday for the 4th annual YooperBeiner Snowshoe Race/Tour. The day featured a number of events, including 10-kilometer and 5K races and a noncompetitive 5K tour. There was also a kids race, broken up into heats of racers between the ages of 8 and 12, and a second heat of those between ages 3 and 7.   • Porkies host snowburst celebration

    SILVER CITY — Snowburst will be celebrated at the Porcupine Mountain Ski Hill Saturday, February 20. A full day of activities has been slated, including races, food and fireworks. While a giant slalom race will challenge skiers, there will also be plenty for non skiers as well. The day will include children’s games, horse-drawn sleigh rides, a trivia snowshoe hike and a guided snowshoe hike. There will also be a pasta dinner and live music.
