    WAKEFIELD - The Wakefield-Mareisco School Board welcomed some new faces as well as seasoned members onto the 2015 board Monday night. Back on the board this year is Brad Dalbec as president, Micki Sorensen as vice president, Margaret Lynott as secretary and Masha Vestich as treasurer. Returning as trustees are Dan Obradovich and Brandon Yuchazs and new this year is Stacie Rooni.     IRONWOOD - Four members of the Ironwood Area Schools Board of Education took their oath of office during an organizational meeting Monday at Luther L. Wright School after being re-elected during the November election. Brenda Agee, Marilyn Nezworski, Pamela Niemi and Ed Rickard were re-elected to the board, joining members Steve Thomas, John Lorenson and Leroy Johnson.     EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - Virginia Buda passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2015, at The Colony in Eden Prairie, two days after celebrating her 95th birthday, sharp to the very end. She was born Virginia Mrofchak on Jan. 13, 1920, in Ironwood, Mich., where she lived for 81 years. In 1943 she married Frank Buda. Together they raised five pretty good kids.     PHOENIX, Ariz. — Sharon L. Chavez, 56, of Phoenix, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at the Hospice of the Valley, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Sharon was born Jan. 14, 1958, in Myrtle Point, Ore., daughter of the late George and Janet (Dobson) Sworab. She attended school in Bessemer and Ramsay, Mich., graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in 1976 and from Gogebic Community College in 1978. On Nov. 29, 1980, Sharon married Francisco Chavez in Grand Island, Neb.
