Scott Dianda, D-Calumet, sponsored a resolution to make January Finnish-American Heritage Month in Michigan. It passed the House on Jan. 12. O'Berto, 80, of Iron Belt and Henderson, Nev., died peacefully Tuesday evening, Jan. 17, 2017, at Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hurley, surrounded by her loving family.
