"The lifts were operational as of 8:30 a.m. this morning," said Summer White Eagle, who handles marketing for the resort. WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Marjorie A. "Marge" Burt, 97, of Bessemer, passed away on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, in Wakefield. Marge was born in Ironwood, daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Dalbac) Lundgren on April 11, 1921. She moved to Bessemer in 1934. She attended Bessemer schools and graduated from A.D. Johnston High School with the class of 1939. Marge was employed by The Ableman Company, retiring in 1981. MARENISCO — Two people were killed Friday evening in a head-on collision of two snowmobiles on Lake Gogebic Friday evening.
