Not only did the hills feature an ongoing descent of skiers and snowboarders, but neighboring Weber Lake also was a favorite passing point for snowmobilers from Trail 6. BESSEMER, Mich. - Sydney A. Johnson, 84, of Bessemer, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on the evening of Jan. 19, 2023. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa, on Sept. 17, 1938, to the late Bee and Agnes (Brown) Morgan. Sydney was a talented folk artist. EWEN, Mich. - Jackie Weber, of Ewen, Michigan, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Jan. 19, 2023, at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota. Jackie was born in Wakefield, to John and Irene Berglund on March 23, 1941. She went to school in Bergland and graduated high school in 1959. CRYSTAL FALLS, Mich. — Lillian Jean Yablonski, 86, peacefully passed away on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls. Lillian was born in Vulcan, on May 3, 1936. The daughter of the late Herman and Vivian (Trudell) Hupp. She was married in October 1954 to Alois Yablonski, who preceded her in death in 2001.
