LAKE MILLS, Wis. - Marian I. (nee Traxler) Coates, of Lake Mills, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Jan. 24, 2023, at her home. She was born on March 11, 1942, in Whitewater, the daughter of Chester and Elva (Klug) Traxler. Marian married Gary Coates Oct. 22, 1958, at The Little Brown Church in the Vale, in Nashua, Iowa. OMAHA, Neb. - Jean C. Petranek, 77, of Omaha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023. Jean was born on Feb. 7, 1945, in Wakefield, Michigan, to Vernon and Ethel (Niemela) Solberg. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1963. Jean lived most of her life in Wakefield and Ironwood, and in 2012 she moved to Omaha to be closer to her daughter's family and watch her granddaughter grow up. WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Ossi Juhani Laitamaki, 76, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at the Aspirus Ironwood Hospital.
