ONTONAGON — Four felony charges have been filed against an Ontonagon man in an incident with a discharged gun. Jeffrey Earnest, 68, pleaded not guilty in Ontonagon District Court to charges of felonious assault, carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearmand reckless use of a firearm. The incident occurred on the Firesteel Road area in Ontonagon County Jan. 27. He is presently out on bail with a hearing set for Feb. 26. DELAFIELD, Wis. - Jerome "Jerry" Springhetti, 90, entered eternal life on Jan. 29, 2018, at his home in Delafield. Jerry was born Jan. 6, 1928, in Bessemer, Mich., to the late John and Louise (Barto) Springhetti. After high school, he joined his brother, Jack, in Pontiac, Mich., to work at General Motors for three years.
