    MERCER, Wis. - Mercer Health and Wellness held its third annual Women's Heart Healthy Brunch Saturday. More than 60 women attended the event to learn more about heart health and heart-healthy options. Participants wore red in honor of Women's Heart Health month in February and the national Go Red for Women campaign.     BARAGA (AP) - Inmates at the Baraga Correctional Facility took charge of a pair of puppies recently, and have begun training them for lives on the outside as guide dogs for the blind. Prison officials say it's a win-win formula for everyone, with carefully chosen inmates able to volunteer the huge amount of time needed to train the dogs properly, and the dogs giving the prisoners a sense of accomplishment, responsibility and empathy.     In a scene worthy of an episode of Downton Abbey, William Boyce, an American visiting London in the early 20th century, got lost in the thick London fog. A scout helped Boyce find his way, but refused a tip, saying it was his duty to be helpful. Boyce was so impressed he wanted to begin a similar scouting program in the states.     MERCER, Wis. - After nearly two and a half hours of competition, sixth grader Ella Torkelson was the only student to correctly spell "bulwark" and became the winner of the Mercer School's spelling bee on Jan. 31.
