WAKEFIELD — The Wakefield-Marenisco Board of Education voted Monday to increase its Great Start Readiness Program from half-day sessions to full days, starting March 1. Superintendent Jason Gustafson reported the news in a Tuesday press release. The action on the state-funded preschool program followed an increase of $5 million in GSRP funds in Michigan’s current fiscal year budget. Kramarsic, 40, of Granville, Illinois, was killed in a snowmobile crash in Iron County Sunday night. Iron County Emergency Dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 12:53 a.m., according to Iron County Sheriff Paul Samardich, reporting the crash on Trail 10 in the town of Mercer. COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jeanette (Boyer) Legg passed away on Jan. 11, 2020, after a short illness in Columbus, Ohio. She was born Aug. 30, 1920, in Ironwood, Michigan to Wilbrod and Alice Boyer. Jeanette graduated as valedictorian in 1938 from St. Ambrose High School. She spent her career as a medical technologist.
