    ABBOTSFORD, Wis. - What a difference a year makes. After being dominated at Hurley in last year's WIAA Division 4 regional final, Abbotsford returned the favor Saturday with a 63-30 victory.   • Kimball fire department holds 32nd turkey feed

    HURLEY – The Kimball Volunteer Fire Department held its 32nd annual turkey dinner fundraiser at the Kimball Community Center Sunday afternoon. The cost was $9 for adults and $4 for children ages 5 to 12. This year, 4-H students helped serve dinner to the masses. Average attendance is about 1,000 people.   • Newspaper in Education program offers students access to newspapers across the country

    IRONWOOD - The Daily Globe is celebrating its 10th year of being a part of the Newspaper in Education Program. NIE is a national program, with thousands of newspapers across the U.S. supplying papers to classrooms. The Globe delivers 485 newspapers each week to 12 different schools in Gogebic, Iron and Ontonagon counties. The papers are used in 30 classrooms in a variety of ways.     BESSEMER – Young children gathered round from far and from near, and while the librarian read, they lent her their ears. The Bessemer Public Library hosted a Dr. Seuss birthday party on Saturday morning, complete with reading, a craft and, of course, cupcakes.
