Harness racing is among the most popular events of the county fair and has been held for many years, said Jim Lorenson, board chair. Stanczak, 56, of Ironwood, died on Feb. 17, 2021, in an avalanche in Alpine, Wyoming, while snowmobiling with his son, brothers, cousin and friends doing what he loved to do.
