The tree was donated by Florence Daniels in memory of her late husband, Jim, a teacher in the Wakefield School System for 30 years who coached basketball, track and football. Gary Jackson, of Ironwood, said he saw the bear sleeping under a semi truck around 12:30 p.m. The local resident said someone told him a bear was spotted sleeping in the Dumpster earlier, so he said he went out back and he saw the bear sleeping again. Nearly 30 people attended the dinner, presentation and discussion, all free to the public.     WAKEFIELD, Mich. — Lillian “Toots” Dellich, 89, of Wakefield, formerly a longtime resident of Ramsay, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015. Lillian was born on Feb. 17, 1926, in Aurora, Wis., a daughter of Mike and Jennie (Vukobradovich) Delich. On July 31, 1943, she was united in marriage to Nick Dellich in Bessemer. Lillian worked at Indianhead Mountain for 26 years. She was a longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Ramsay.
