    IRONWOOD - The audience at the Historic Ironwood Theatre had their toes tapping and hands clapping Saturday night during the performance by the Church of Cash tribute band. Formed in 2010 by lead singer Jay 'Jayder' Kalk, the Church of Cash plays tribute to Johnny Cash. The band does not like to think of themselves as a country band.     MARQUETTE - In an all Gogebic County final, the Bessemer Quiz Bowl team of Alex Hooyman, Claire Jackson, Valerie Rowe, Daniel Trekas and Captain, Molly Wieringa, defeated Ironwood 270-160 to take the WNMU-TV 13 High School Quiz Bowl tournament title on Friday.     IRONWOOD-The Ice Crystals Figure Skating Club welcomed the public to story time on ice this past weekend as the skaters presented "Once Upon a Time" at the Pat O'Donnell Civic Center. It was the club's 31st annual show. There were three performances over the weekend, two on Saturday and one on Sunday. Nine groups at various skating levels performed.     BESSEMER, Mich. – Mary Lester, 101, a longtime resident of Bessemer, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015. The former Mary Rose Kott was born on Jan. 31, 1914, in Ramsay, daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (Pospeck) Kott. The Kott family moved to Raber in 1920, where Mary's father with her uncle Peter Kott, established the Kott Brothers General Mercantile store.     IRONWOOD — When the Ironwood Red Devils defeated Calumet last week in the MHSAA Class C District 96 title game, it was the first time Ironwood had won back-to-back district tournaments since 1993 and 1994.
