The Michigan Department of Transportation said work started Wednesday on U.S. 45, M-28 and M-64, with the closest towns being Bergland, Bruce Crossing, Marenisco, Silver City and White Pine. The completion date is estimated at Aug. 22. MDOT is investing $5 million to chip seal 52 miles of roadway in the two counties.     SAGOLA, Mich. - James A. Dabb, 74, of Sagola, died Monday, June 5, 2017, at his home. Jim was born on Jan. 4, 1943, in Iron Mountain, the son of Albert and Rosamond (Van Laanen) Dabb. Jim graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1961. He received his associate degree in criminal justice from Gogebic Community College.     EAGLE RIVER, Wis. - Alvin Ronald Levra, 86, died Saturday, May 27, 2017, in Eagle River. He was born Dec. 10, 1930, to Anton and Irene (Eilo) Levra, in Iron Belt. He was raised there and grew up with the love of the outdoors that remained with him the rest of his life.
