    WAKEFIELD - "Go jump in a lake" is a command that was followed by about 50 people who participated in the 10th annual Regional Hospice Polar Plunge on Saturday. On a sunny afternoon with temperatures around 32, hundreds of spectators watched as young and old participants dove into frigid Sunday Lake for a worthy cause, namely to raise money for end of life services.     HURLEY - The Hurley Lions Club and Iron County youth teamed up to raise money for the community during the annual pancake breakfast at the Liberty Bell Chalet in Hurley on Sunday. Pancake Day, held on Palm Sunday for more than 35 years, serves as a fundraiser for both the Lions Club and the Iron County Summer Youth Camp.   • Arraignment set in Iron torture case

    HURLEY — A Mercer, Wis., man who is charged with human trafficking and false imprisonment is scheduled to be arraigned in Iron County Court on March 31. Jason Sheehan, 29, is accused of forcing a deaf woman with a neurological disorder to eat mold, drink urine and eat cat feces. The alleged victim told authorities Sheehan had hit her with a hot baking ban, threw boiling water on her, and struck her with an electric fly swatter.
