    By RALPH ANSAMI [email protected] BESSEMER — The Gogebic County Jail in Bessemer is overcrowded “and there’s more coming,” sheriff Peter Matonich told the county board Wednesday. Matonich said the jail was housing 30 inmates and six more were jailed in Iron County, Wis., under an agreement between the two counties. “We’re doing everything we can to try to quell it,” Matonich said of the overcrowding situation.     WAUNAKEE, Wis. — Wayne A. Vaughn, 81, of Waunakee, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. He was born on Dec. 6, 1934, in Mercer, the son of Lawrence and Lucy Vaughn (nee Stephey). Wayne grew up in Mercer and served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1958 and was a proud member of the American Legion and the VFW. Wayne is survived by his wife, Elaine; and their children, Jeff (Ruth Ellen), Lucy, Laurel (Ross) and David (Jennifer).
