NEW BRIGHTON, Minn. — Catherine “Kay” Lopez Jacquart, 89, of Ironwood, Mich., passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, in New Brighton. She was born May 18, 1924, in Hurley, Wis., daughter of the late Sam and Maria (Tiano) Lopez. She graduated from J.E. Murphy High School in 1942. On Dec. 27, 1943, Catherine married the love of her life, Robert R. Jacquart, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2011. They had been married for 67 years.
