    By CHARITY SMITH [email protected] WAKEFIELD — A water project the city of Wakefield hoped to start this year may have to be postponed until 2023 as a result of some delays that will cause the project to go out for bid in late May or June, according to city manager Rob Brown. Brown said that he is not sure the city will be able to find a company to bid on the project with a reasonable offer so late in the season.     BESSEMER, Mich. — Wilford A. Nickel, 87, of Bessemer, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at the Memorial Medical Center in Ashland, Wisconsin. He is survived by four children, Robin Symes, Rondy Moore, Ronald Nickel and Renae Ecker; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
