    LANSING — The city of Ironwood has been named an award winner for its downtown revitalization efforts. The Michigan Municipal League’s Region 7 Community Excellence Award was presented to the city last week at the MML’s conference in Lansing. The region includes all communities in the Upper Peninsula.     IRONWOOD — Professional snocross racer Kyle Pallin of Ironwood recently celebrated his 22nd birthday — in Sweden. It wasn’t that Pallin has become a jet-setter flying all over the world. After finishing his second season as a pro in the Amsoil Championship Snocross Series, he was invited by a Swedish friend, Mats Lauger, to culminate his season with four races in Sweden.     IRONWOOD, Mich. — Greg Kazian, 64, a former longtime Kenosha, Wis., resident, died peacefully Monday, April 15, 2013, in his home in Ironwood, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 11, 1949, in Chicago, son of the late George and Charlotte (Esperian) Kazian. He was married to the former Merrie Lynn Humann of Ironwood on July 4, 1992, in Las Vegas.
