ALMA, Mich. - Saima Liimakka, 104, of Alma, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Masonic Pathways in Alma. She was born on May 7, 1910, in Ironwood, the daughter of Jacob and Liisa (Jaaska) Niemi. She was a graduate of Northern Michigan University and on June 21, 1939, she married Arnold Liimakka. Saima taught fifth grade in the Ironwood school system for 32 years.
