Jean was born on Easter Sunday, April 10, 1955, to Rudy and Clarice (Stafford) Kovachich. Since she was born on Easter Sunday, we called her Jean Marie the Easter Bunny. Katherine was born on Jan. 10, 1929, in Ishpeming, the eldest of 12 children to Thomas and Jennie (Pelkola) Metos. She attended school in Trout Creek.
