    HURLEY - A mix of citizens and local officials gathered Wednesday near the two railroad bridges that connect Ironwood and Hurley across the Montreal River to discuss the proposed Riverside Trail that would run from the waterfalls north of the cities to trailheads in Hurley and Ironwood. Micheal was born Sept. 8, 1951, in Ironwood, son of the late John and Maryann (Baima) Novak.     RACINE, Wis. - Earnest Joseph Schust, 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints. Ernest was born in Rockland, Mich., on July 10, 1935, the son of the late Ernest and Catherine (nee: Wolfe) Schust.     Iron County lagged behind other northern Wisconsin counties in 2014 in attracting tourism, according to the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. State officials said tourism spending of $18.9 million in Iron County in 2013 increased to $19 million in 2014, or .65 percent. That lagged far behind the increases in neighboring counties, however. Oneida County showed the greatest area increase in tourism spending, from $196.9 million in 2013 to $207.5 million, or 5.4 percent.
