    BESSEMER — Kenneth Wayne Peters, 50, of Bessemer, was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole for killing his wife, 79-year-old Ethel Grzena-Peters, in August. Peters was found guilty of first-degree murder and second-degree vulnerable adult abuse on May 1 by a jury following a lengthy trial.     IRONWOOD — “The only time I missed donating was when I had my knee surgery. Each pint of blood saves three lives,” said blood donor Jean Yurchak at Wednesday’s blood drive at the Ironwood Memorial Building. Eighty-two pints of blood were collected, said volunteer Dick Armstrong, which is slightly down from an average of 90 pints of blood.
