The school board 4-0 selected Nasi Construction, LLC, of Hurley, as the low bid for the proposal to convert two computer lab rooms (418-A and 418-B) into the Art Science Discovery Lab. IRONWOOD, Mich. - Grace "Toni" Suutala, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Westgate Nursing Home in Ironwood. She was born to Samuel and Nellie (Bayliss) Cheney on May 16, 1930, in England. She met the love of her life, John "Herbie" Suutala in Leicester, England, when he was stationed near there serving in the U.S. Air Force. WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Joyce E. Alho, 90, of Bessemer, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield. Joyce was born the daughter of Peter and Allie (Suanto) Alho on Dec. 9, 1930, in Bessemer. Joyce enjoyed assembling jigsaw puzzles, playing many card games and liked watching TV game shows. HURLEY, Wis. - On Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, Roger "Ginty" Fontecchio, 78, of Hurley, passed away with his family by his side. Roger was born to Herman "Nig" and Mary (Sterny) Fontecchio on Nov. 11, 1942. He attended St. Ambrose Catholic School in Ironwood, Michigan, and graduated in 1960.
