    IRONWOOD - The 17th annual Fall Quiz Bowl on the campus of Gogebic Community College on Thursday included 16 teams from Bessemer, Hurley, Ironwood, Wakefield-Marenisco and Watersmeet high schools in both varsity and junior varsity competition.     IRONWOOD — The Historic Ironwood Theatre will present a highly touted silent movie Saturday evening. After the board met for its regular twice monthly meeting, it returned into a committee meeting format and discussed fair finances. At a Sept. 28 committee meeting, it was pointed out the fair budget was in deficit by $16,030.     BRADENTON, Fla. — P. Don Sakalos, 85, formerly of Anvil Location, Bessemer, Mich., and Downers Grove, Ill., passed away early Thursday morning, Oct. 13, 2016, in Bradenton. Don was born on April 26, 1931, in Ironwood, Mich., the son of Paul and Mary (Parobek) Sakalos. He was raised in Anvil and attended A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer and graduated in 1949.
