IRONWOOD - Theatre-goers took a trip down the rabbit hole with 51 local children during performances of "Alice in Wonderland" Saturday at the Historic Ironwood Theatre. The play was organized by Gannon Styles and Bridget Leary, of Prairie Fire Children's Theatre in Barret, Minn. IRONWOOD - Local residents got some exercise and viewed eco-friendly art pieces during the "Art in the Park" exhibition in Ironwood on Saturday. The event was sponsored by the Friends of the Miners Memorial Heritage Park. Attendees started near Lorenson Baseball Field, and trekked 1 mile around the Aurora Loop to view the art pieces. BESSEMER - Axes were flying during the first ever lumberjack show on Massie Field over the weekend, as part of Bessemer Blast 2014. According to Linda Nelson, chair of the Bessemer Blast Committee, the committee had been trying to get this event on the schedule for quite some time. LUDINGTON (AP) - Sixty-eight years after she was left on the doorstep of a western Michigan family's home, Julie Himebaugh is still trying to discover the identity of her parents and why her mother decided to give her up. Ludington police said this month they no longer have records of the discovery of the baby on May 7, 1946. CRYTSAL FALLS, Mich. — Patrick “C-Cat” White, 72, of Watersmeet passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls, Mich., surrounded by his family.
