According to Fireworks Committee President Mike Fontecchio, who was assisting fellow Hurley Fire Department members with the fireworks exhibition, a “cake box” of fireworks malfunctioned. ALBANY, Ga. - Our beloved Carl, son, husband, brother, uncle and friend, died unexpectedly at his home in Albany Oct. 20, 2017. He was born to Milo and Katherine (Sharer) Obiden in Marenisco, Mich. ROLLA, Mo. - Michael Lee Lillie, 78, of Rolla, passed away Monday, Feb. 26, 2018. Michael was born on Aug. 22, 1939, in Marenisco, Mich., a son of Edward and Evelyn (Lund) Lillie. She is survived by two sisters: Helen Schaller and Josephine Kopnick, both of Bessemer, and her sister-in-law, Beverly, of Illinois.
