    BESSEMER - Residents sounded off Monday evening on whether or not Pat Steiger should be allowed to rezone Steiger Timber Operations on Tamarack Avenue. In front of more than 30 people, Steiger said his property is currently zoned as a M-1, or light industrial.     IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP — The Ironwood Township Board of Trustees approved an update to the township’s zoning ordinance Monday. The approval comes after the township’s planning commission recommended the adoption of the document’s latest draft in June.     WOODRUFF, Wis. - Norman V. Babic, 91, of Hurley, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016, at Howard Young Medical Center, Woodruff. He was born Dec. 27, 1924, in Mercer, the son of the late Michael and Mary Belle (Schwartz) Babic. Norman enlisted the U.S. Army on Aug. 14, 1945, until Jan. 31, 1946, where he received the Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation medal in Germany.     MARENISCO, Mich. - Thomas Richard "Dick" DeCota, 83, a resident of Marenisco for 35 years, formerly of Macon, Ill., and New Orleans, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, July 7, 2016. His loving wife, Joan, was at his side. Dick was born on March 24, 1933, in Decatur, Ill., a son of August Thomas and Marguerite Belle (Nanna) DeCota.
