The former Anna Ableman was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Edgerton, Wis., daughter of the late Gloyd and Elma (Reger) Ableman, and graduated from Edgerton High School. MARENGO, Wis. - A third person died in the floodwaters of Monday's storm in northern Wisconsin. The Ashland County Sheriff's Department said an 82-year-old man was found dead early Thursday in a pickup truck in the floodwaters of the Marengo River. Authorities said the truck was found in the water near the bridge over the river in the town of White River. HURLEY — The Iron County Forestry and Parks Department has reopened most of the county’s all-terrain vehicle trails. According to information on the department’s website, all the trails are reopened, except for Trail 2, from its intersection with Trail 6 in Kimball, through Saxon and Gurney, to the Ashland County border. The trails had been closed following the storms that hit Iron and Gogebic counties Monday night, causing widespread flooding and road closures.
