IRONWOOD — The Ironwood Housing Commission has approved a $95,400 project to upgrade the Pioneer Park apartments ventilation system. At its July meeting, the housing commission unanimously approved the U.P. Engineers and Architects project, awarding the bid to Mukavitz Heating of Ironwood. The project at 515 E. IRONWOOD, Mich. - Bobby John Hantula, a long-time resident of Ironwood, passed away peacefully Saturday on his 83rd birthday, July 22, 2017. Bobby was born on July 22, 1934, in Ironwood Township, a son of John and Signe (Kruutari) Hantula. He attended Roosevelt Grade School and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1953.
