GREEN BAY, Wis. - Lynn (Salaj) Mezzano, 58, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Aurora Healthcare in Green Bay after a long battle with cancer. Lynn was born March 4, 1956 in Wakefield, Mich., to Leonard and Cisera (Filippi) Salaj. She graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in 1974. DULUTH, Minn. — Thomas Vern Carl Zielke, 58, of Glidden, Wis., died Friday, June 27, 2014, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, Minn. Tom was born on Nov. 4, 1955 in Ashland, Wis. He was the son of Vernon and Patricia (Carl) Zielke. He graduated from Glidden High School in 1973 and attended Northland College. On Aug. 4, 1979, he married Sally Dissmore in Glidden. Tom owned and operated Tom Zielke Logging Company. He enjoyed fishing with his family in Canada, hunting, grilling, the outdoors and most of all spending time with his family and friends.... WAKEFIELD — The Wakefield-Marenisco School Board authorized a ballot proposal to renew the 1 mill building site sinking fund Monday. The proposal will appear on the November ballot. The board heard federal Impact Aid money not paid to the district since the consolidation between Wakefield and Marenisco 10 years ago was authorized in the last federal budget.
