    By RICHARD JENKINS [email protected] HURLEY — The Iron County Health Department released the results of last month’s testing events in Hurley and Mercer Monday. A total of 251 tests were administered at the July 23 testing event in Hurley, with 17 positives cases reported; while there were 228 tests and six positive cases at the July 24 event in Mercer.     Donald J. "Don" May, age 83, walked on from this life Thursday, July 30, 2020. Don was born Valentines Day, Feb. 14, 1937 in Chicago, son of the late Frank and Carolyn (Miller) May. Don and his wife, Patsy (Halverson) May, graduated together from Chetek (Wisconsin) High School in 1955. After serving the U.S. Air Force, Don and Patsy were married in 1960, the same year Don joined Wisconsin MVD.     ONTONAGON, Mich. — Joseph M. Sharkey, 67, of Ontonagon, passed away at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital on July 30, 2020, from injuries sustained in his tractor. Joe was born on Nov. 2, 1952, to Dr. John D. and JoAnn (Shotka) in Detroit. He was a 1971 graduate of the Ontonagon Area High School where he participated in football, basketball and track. On Nov. 9, 1974, he married his classmate Dorothy J. Stenson. Joe worked for the Ontonagon County Road Commission for 38 years, retiring on Dec. 1, 2012.
