BESSEMER — A proposal was accepted by the Bessemer City Council to sell the old Presbyterian Church at 400 South Moore Street to Douglas Kikkebusch of Ironwood, for the amount of one dollar. The property had been out for bids for repurposing. City manager Michael Uskiewicz called Kikkebusch’s proposal “intriguing.” Kikkebusch plans to repurpose the building into an art gallery, studio space, and retail area, primarily for handmade glass works of art. WAKEFIELD, Mich. — Frank Wallace St Vincent Jr., 81, of Wakefield, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, with his loving family by his side. He was born on Jan. 4, 1932, in Marinette, Wis., the son of Frank and Martha (Mayville) St Vincent. Frank graduated from Marinette High School. Chris was born on Nov. 21, 1949, in Springfield, Ill., to Robert Scott and Margaret Scott Anderson. HURLEY, Wis. — Marian L. Cayer, 88, of Hurley, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hurley. The former Marian Filek was born Dec. 31, 1924, in Amasa, Mich., the daughter of the late John and Rose (Walleck) Filek.
