Shawn graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer, Mich. Immediately following graduation, he left with his brother to Virginia where he worked with heating and air conditioning. Andrew Zaleski, 39, pleaded no contest to charges of false imprisonment, felony bail jumping and stalking. He also pleaded to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. A no contest plea is similar to a guilty plea but isn’t considered an admission of guilt.     GWINN, Mich. — Mark Hedstrom, 57, of Gwinn, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, at his home. He was born July 8, 1962, in Wakefield, a son of the late Edmund G. and Shirley I. (Ontto) Hedstrom. He was a 1980 graduate of Marenisco High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan Tech in 1985, a master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1990 and another bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan in 2007. The authority approved $15,000 for two new welcome signs that are expected to be ready to install by Oct. 1.
