    By TOM LAVENTURE tlaventure@yourdailyglobe.com IRONWOOD — The Ironwood City Commission on Monday approved demolitions and scheduled public hearings to address inaction on other dilapidated properties. The commission authorized advertisements to bid for the demolition of a residential dwelling at 400 E.     IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Russell Saari, 81, a lifelong resident of Ironwood Township, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, with his family by his side. Russell was born on May 18, 1940, to Arvo and Marian (Kooping) Saari. He attended Roosevelt School and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1958. After graduation, Russell enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1958-1960. He received several marksmanship awards.     WAUSAU, Wis. - Lynus D. Kelly Jr., 85, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021, in Wausau. Born on Nov. 30, 1935, son of Lynus Sr. and Pauline (Newton) Kelly, he attended Watersmeet Township School, in Watersmeet, Michigan, graduating with the class of 1953. After high school, he went to Ironwood Junior College for two years and then joined the U.S. Army.
