HURLEY — Last year, Crystal Falls Forest Park stole a win from Hurley. GILE, Wis. — Four years ago, Daniel “Danny” Baross lost his battle with depression and took his life, just two months shy of his 32nd birthday. His death was shock to his family and friends. Each year, his friends and family host a memorial softball tournament, not only to honor their lost friend and loved one, but to spread awareness of suicide prevention. To the editor: The Range Suicide Prevention Council would like to publicly thank the Danny B Dream Team for all its help in our mission of reducing suicides here on the Gogebic Range. Over the past three years, these dedicated young people have raised more than $7,500 by putting on the Danny B Jack & Jill Softball Tournament in memory of Danny Baross, who died Feb. 10, 2009, at the age of 31 as a result of suicide. LYONS, Colo. (AP) — Colorado officials have raised the death toll from this week’s flooding to four after a woman’s body was found in Boulder. Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle says the body found Friday was that of a woman who was swept away Thursday after the vehicle she was riding in got stuck in water north of Boulder. HORSESHOE BAY, Texas — Joseph James Tiziani M.D., 78, passed away on Aug. 27, 2013, at his home in Horseshoe Bay. Joe was born in Ironwood, Mich., on July 22, 1935, to the late Joseph and Regina Tiziani. He received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Michigan in June 1960. Dr. Tiziani was board certified in psychiatry and neurology and completed his psychiatry residency at the Ypsilanti State Hospital in 1964. HURLEY, Wis. — Paul Forys, 82, former resident of Buffalo, Minn., passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, surrounded by his family at his home in Hurley.
