    IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP - Three Lakes came back from an early 2-0 deficit to force overtime and beat Ironwood 5-3. It wasn't sudden death as Three Lakes scored once in each overtime.     Look for a later fall color show than normal on the Gogebic Range. Because of the ample rainfall that has included around 5 inches already in September in Ironwood, the colors may stick around at least a week longer this autumn, according to Bill McNee, a forest health specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.     IRONWOOD - With nearly three weeks of school under their belts, students at Luther L. Wright School in Ironwood are feeling comfortable with their surroundings. It marks the first time LLW is a K-12 school, after kindergarten through first grade students made the move over from Sleight Elementary.   • Suspect arrested for starting California wildfire

    CAMINO, Calif. (AP) - The sister of a man arrested in a fast-growing Northern California wildfire says she strongly doubts he's responsible for starting the blaze, which has driven 2,800 people from their homes. Tami Criswell of Salinas said Thursday that her brother, Wayne Allen Huntsman, loves the forest and always has been very cautious with campfires.     RHINELANDER, Wis. — Bette Popps, 88, of Bruce Crossing, Mich., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at the Rennes Rehab Center in Rhinelander. She is survived by daughter, Gail Popps; son, Dennis (Pam) Popps; sister, Mable Niemi; three grandsons, Chris (Jennie) Popps, Brandon (Tennie) Popps, and Jerry Baker; and four great-grandchildren, Isaac, Jackson, Gage and Jett.
