TROUT CREEK, Mich. — Jacob “Jake” William Laitala, 73, passed away on Oct. 5, 2020, at his home in Trout Creek. Jake was born in Ontonagon to Pearl and Emil Laitala on Oct. 15, 1946. He went to school at Trout Creek and married Peggy Yaunke on Aug. 27, 1981, in Paynesville. He worked as a farmer for most of his life and was an avid outdoorsman.
