    ELKHART, Ind. - Victor J. Wesselhoft Jr., 88, of Bristol, passed away Thursday Oct. 8, 2015, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born May 16, 1927, in Indianapolis to the late Victor J. and Eleanore (Pardieck) Wesselhoft Sr. On Sept. 4, 1948, he married Dorothy L. Kost. She preceded him in death on Aug. 28, 1987. He then married Betty Forbes in November of 1990. She survives, along with five children, Karen (Rob) Hillman, of Jones, Mich., Sue (Stephen) Studer, of Mishawaka, Charles (Marie) Wesse...

    HURLEY - Hurley picked up its fifth straight win and fourth consecutive in shootout fashion 48-34 over North Dickinson Friday night. Both teams tallied more than 400 yards of offense and scored 20 points apiece in a fourth quarter that was a one-possession game until the Midgets iced it with a touchdown with 1:16 to go.     HURLEY — Members of the Wisconsin Investment and Local Impact Fund Board met Friday to discuss four applications for reimbursement of costs incurred by communities related to Gogebic Taconite’s failed development of a mine site near Upson, awarding $203,611 in funds. The towns of Anderson and Morse, as well as Iron and Ashland counties, applied for funds from the board for a number of costs relating to everything from legal fees and developing ordinances to environmental consulting and water testing.
