Oct. 1 marked the one-year anniversary of Wolfe being cancer-free from breast cancer. IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP — A $1.85 million taxiway project began at the Gogebic-Iron County Airport on Sept. 3, but won’t be completed until next summer. Airport manager Mike Harma said completion is scheduled for July 1. The second runway at the airport has been closed for a long time, Harma said. The American Red Cross blood drive on Sept. 25 in Ironwood received 74 pints of blood, which are now available for patients in need at approximately 3,000 hospitals in our community and across the nation.
