BESSEMER, Mich. - Merle D. Jacobson, 78, a longtime resident of Bessemer, passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015. He was born on May 13, 1937, in Bessemer, a son of Albert and Myrtle (Grenquist) Jacobson. Representatives of the Federation of International Skiing have awarded Copper Peak a Grand Prix Summer Series finale event to be held in September 2017 and a Summer Continental Cup and a Nordic combined summer event, both to possibly take place in 2018. ONTONAGON, Mich. - Marland L. Bradley, 88, of Ontonagon, formerly of Bessemer, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015 in Ontonagon. He was born March 24, 1927, in Bessemer, the son of Andrew and Elvira (Julien) Bradley. Marland graduated from A.D. Johnson High School in Bessemer in 1944.
