    BESSEMER - Bessemer advanced into the final round of the MHSAA Class D District 127 volleyball tournament by sweeping Watersmeet 25-18, 25-20 and 24-21 in the House of Noise on Wednesday night. The powerful Crystal Falls Forest Park volleyball team rolled over a young Ewen-Trout Creek team 25-6, 25-1 and 25-19.     IRONWOOD –– U.S. 2 is open again. Phase 1 of the $7.5 million U.S. 2 project that began in May is nearly completed, at least for this year. "We're happy to see this major project nearing a successful completion," Mike Premo, manager of the Michigan Department of Transportation's Crystal Falls transportation service center, said.     WAUSAU, Wis. - Charles "Chuck" E. Hulstrom, 63, Wausau, passed away on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Chuck was raised in Ironwood, Mich., on Lake Superior at Little Girl's Point Park as "a caretaker's son" which he was very proud of, and loved to be at the lake. After graduating high school he moved to Pontia where he married Linda (Cadeau), and then settled in Wausau to raise his family. Chuck was accomplished at electronics and enjoyed his work.
